There Is Something Called Sleep Cycle And Every Sleep Cycle Consist Of 90 Minutes (1 Hr 30 min). So, In The First 20 Minutes You Are Still In The Process Of Trying To Sleep That’s Why It is Very Easy To Wake Up At That Moment, It Called A Light Sleep.

Then You Move On To The 2nd Stage Where The Real Sleep Start You Are Completely Asleep At This Time.

Then You Move On To The 3rd Stage Which Is The Deep Sleep. This Is The Stage Where You Are Really Sleeping Like A Dead Person. What Happens Actually During This Stage Is, There Something Called Rapid Eye Movement.


What Your Brain Does Is That It Start To Store All The Information You Got While You Were Awake In The Right Places. During That Stage All The Information And All The Things You’ve Learned Move From The Short-Term Memory To The Long-Term Memory, Your Brain Put Them In The Shelves You Can Say.

Finally, It Moves From The 3rd Stage To The 4th Stage, The Last Stage Which Is The Light Sleep Again. That’s The Whole Process Of Sleep Cycle.


So, If You Sleep 6 Hours At Night, You Are Going To Go Through 4 Sleep Cycles That Night. The Reason Why A Lot Of People Struggle To Wake Up Is Because They Wake At The Wrong Time. If You Wake In The Middle Of Sleep Cycle, What Happen Is That Your Brain Is Still Storing All That Information If You Wake Up At That Moment You Are Forcing Your Brain To Stop The Process In The Middle Of It. So If You Want To Wake Up At A Particular Time, Sleep At A Time That You Will Have The Enough Time To Complete All The Sleep Cycle.


For Example, If You Want To Wake Up At 7 am, Make Sure That You Are Going To Bed And Sleep By 11:30 pm, That Will Be Like 5 Sleep Cycles, You Will Wake Up Active And Fresh Easily. All The Sleep Cycles Will Be Completed By That Time.

Note Something That It Doesn’t Mean You Should Exactly Wake Up At That Specific Second, If You Can Do That, Its Absolutely Amazing But If You Cant Just Remember That The Sleep Cycles Keep Repeating It Self, So If You Wake Up Slightly 5 Or 10 Minutes, You Are Still In The Light Stage Of The Next Sleep Cycle, So It Will Be Easy To Wake Up.


Lack Of Sleep Is The Cause Mostly Why We Struggle To Wake Up, I Mean If You Have Only 1 To 2 Sleep Cycles, Its Not Enough At All, That Why You Should At Least Have 4 Sleep Cycles To Keep Yourself Fresh And Active.

There Are A Lot Of Studies That Shows That You Should Sleep Around 7-8 Hours, That’s Not Specifically Really True, We Should Never Sleep Exactly 7 Or 8 Hours If You Sleep 7 Hours You Will Wake Up In The Middle Of A Sleep Cycle. Make Sure You Are Going To Sleep At Least For 7 Hrs 30 min.


Another Reason Why Some People Do Not Get Enough Sleep Is That They Are Not Really Sleeping. You See One Of The Reasons We Sleep Is That Our Brains Need To Get Some Time Off. Let’s Say You Are Sleeping And Music Is Playing Around, Although You Might Be Sleeping But Part Of Your Brain Kind Of Working A Little Bit, Because You Can Hear The Voice Or If The Light Are On You Might Be Sleeping But Part Of Your Brain Is Working Due To The Light.
