Thirsty Reliever (For Diabetes)
Main Ingredients:
Radix Puerariae, Radix Astragali, Radix Trichosanthis, Stylus Zeae Maydis, Fructus Schisandrae, Sphenantharae, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, and Glibenclamide.
Function:
It nourishes kidney-yin, benefits qi, and promotes the generation of body fluid. It is used for the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus due to deficiency of qi and yin (non-insulin dependent diabetes) manifested as thirst, Polydipsia, Polyphagia, Polyorexia, Emaciation, tiredness, fatigue, shortness of breath, and indolent about speaking.
Dosage:
For oral use, take 5-10 pills after meal, 2-3times daily. According to the state of the illness, increase the number to 5 pills at a time, progressively but do not exceed 30 pills daily. When increased to 20 pills daily, at least divide into 2 times for oral use. When a satisfactory result is obtained, reduce the dosage to a maintenance dose and as directed by a doctor.
Precaution: Do not take sulfonylurea medicine at the same time. Do not use during pregnancy. Forbidden for cases with allergic reaction to sulfonamide. Forbidden for cases complicated with ketoacidosis, coma, severe burn, infection, severe traumatic injury and serious surgery.
